iTenda: an AI teammate for tender bidding, built for South Africa

Khaply Products · July 2026

Most SA SMEs don't lose tenders because they can't do the work — they lose because of the admin around it. Finding tenders relevant to what you actually do, working through a dense specification document, catching a compliance requirement buried on page 14, and still finding the hours to draft a proposal that reads well before the deadline hits. That's the part that eats a founder's week, and it has nothing to do with whether you're the right business for the job.

iTenda starts with a live feed of active tenders pulled from public procurement listings nationally, filterable by sector — Construction, IT, Consultancy, Energy, Security, Medical, General, and more — so you start from what's relevant to you instead of trawling government portals yourself. Pick a tender, and iTenda opens a dedicated workspace for it: it summarizes the requirements in plain language, flags the details that could get your bid disqualified, and drafts a first-pass proposal so you're editing instead of starting from a blank page.

It's also built to work the way South African businesses actually talk. iTenda's chat runs in English, and — currently in beta — isiZulu, Sesotho, and Afrikaans, so you can work through a tender in the language you think in rather than translate in your head as you go.

Non-English languages are in active beta — expect some rough edges as we refine them.

iTenda is live now and free to try, no card required.
